This document is a supplement to the Zeeya.net Terms of Service.

Zeeya.net is a communication tool and is not a database for saving know-how, business secrets or other sensitive, economic, private or political information.

By using Zeeya.net, you agree to the following Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy document covers the site zeeya.net and any other domain or subdomain registered by or for VIR Verlag Industrie & Recht AG, containing "zeeya" in its domain name (e.g., www.zeeya.net, zeeya.de, blog.zeeya.net) and informs you about our handling of data and the practices we apply to ensure your privacy.

1) Information Collection and Usage

Each user must decide for himself, which information he wishes to enter into to the database provided by Zeeya.net. Zeeya.net will not use these data for marketing or advertising purposes or knowingly provide access to such data to third parties. (This does not apply to statistical or non-personal data.)

2a) Information Disclosure

In order to register, each user must provide his first name, last name, gender, date of birth, e-mail address, username, password, country, region or state, city, and college or university. All of these data, excluding date of birth and e-mail address, will be made visible to all members of the Zeeya.net community. A user's date of birth and e-mail address will only be made visible to confirmed friends of the user.

2b) Access to Information

Zeeya.net has the option to provide functionalities which may limit access to certain information such as a user's age, photos, etc. Nonetheless, users should not publish confidential data such as credit card numbers, account data, or other business or private information.

2c) Links

Zeeya.net contains links to external websites, which are primarily entered by users of the community. By clicking any external link found on this website, you leave the domain and control of this website. We take no responsibility for the content of external sites. This Privacy Policy is valid only for content, which is directly visible on Zeeya.net.

3) Access

Teenagers between the ages of 14 and 18:
We recommend that teenagers between the ages of 14 and 18 inform their parents or guardians about their use of Zeeya.net and ask for their permission to send information via the Internet.

Youth under the age of 14:
Individuals under 14 years of age are not permitted on Zeeya.net. If Zeeya.net becomes aware of accounts for users under the age of 14, these accounts will be immediately deleted.

4) Security

We follow industry standards and take appropriate precautions to protect your data. All member accounts are password protected, and all access to pages on Zeeya.net which display personal data is secured with 128-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption.

The database is hosted on a secured server which resides behind a firewall. It should, however, be duly noted that no method of electronic storage or transmission is absolutely secure.

Your username and password should be handled confidentially in order to prevent abuse. Electronic communication is generally not a secure medium. We therefore recommend that you do not send any private information via e-mail, chat or messenging tools.

5a) Personally Identifiable Information: Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of data sent to your computer and stored by your web browser to communicate with the web server. Zeeya.net uses session cookies for the user authentication process and during the time you are logged in. Persistent cookies are used to save your language and "remeber me" preferences. As soon as you end your session, either by logging out or closing your web browser, your session cookies will expire. If you have have opted to use the "remeber me" functionality, the corresponding cookie will only be invalidated if you manually log out of your account.

5b) Personally Identifiable Information: Log Files

Every time you access one of the Zeeya.net websites, certain data (e.g., IP address, artifact requested, etc.) will be saved to a log file.

This Privacy Policy document can be accessed from any page on Zeeya.net. By registering at Zeeya.net, you agree to the terms set forth in this Privacy Policy.
